Skip the cookies, go for the cake!

It’s no news for advertisers, agencies and marketing professionals that cookies are taking a significant hit with new rules applied to browsers, iOS 14 and the strengthening of privacy policies everywhere. This means it will not be possible to track ad performance, to optimise or to retarget users. Or will it?

We have a solution!

We at Koolmetrix, working closely with the Facebook dev team, have a solution in place to continue to work along with the Facebook Pixel without interruption. Our implementation of the Facebook Conversions API works in conjunction with the current Facebook PIxel and will later, when all the changes are in place, function as a stand-alone solution for performance monitoring.
More specifically, we have:
  • Solved the issue of losing data, by ensuring that the Facebook Pixel still receives everything it needs.
  • Reduced our dependence on 3rd party cookies, who’s use will soon be drastically reduced or eliminated.
  • Ensured we can still monitor conversion events and target ads while still complying with privacy policies.

The best part is that we apply everything from our part. You only need to make one tiny move and then you’re back to advertising, tracking and converting at a high rate!

Don’t let your ads lose data and waste your budget.

We have been acknowledged as an official case study on “Think with Google”!

We have been acknowledged as an official case study on ‘Think with Google’!

Google has recently published a case study on “Think with Google”, which describes how our successful management of Director Mix led to the ad’s optimization and overall increase of Pizza Fan’s profits.

With the primary goal being to increase the reach of Pizza Fan’s target groups, we created a series of personalized YouTube ads in collaboration with the Marketing and Creative department of Pizza Fan. After a thorough research and consideration of the data, we used Director Mix to create different versions of YouTube ads, based on the personal characteristics and preferences of each user. Using the Machine Learning Technology of Director Mix, we were able to correspond the right ad to each user.

The results were extraordinary. The personalized ads of our YouTube campaign went beyond any expectation the company had, exceeding all its desired goals. The constant data analysis in conjunction with the use of Machine Learning Technology proved that any brand can get closer to each consumer, enhancing both its online and offline presence.

Instagram launches checkout feature through the app

Some days ago, Instagram announced an in-app checkout feature. Given that there are more than 1 billion users on the platform, it was about time for Instagram to launch a feature that will keep those users engaged without leaving the app.

Before that, users could find more information through the product tag on news feed posts and Instagram stories, which included a redirecting link to the merchants’ website.

With this new feature, users will have access to a checkout button on the shopping posts, which will require few and necessary details from them, making the checkout process easier & quicker. Plus, users will get notified via email directly from Instagram when their order is shipped.

Currently, the feature is available exclusively for 20 top international brands. Here’s the full list of launch partners: Adidas, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Balmain, Burberry, ColourPop, Dior, Huda Beauty, H&M, KKW Beauty, Kylie Cosmetics, MAC Cosmetics, Michael Kors, NARS, Nike, NYX Cosmetics, Oscar de la Renta, Outdoor Voices, Ouai Hair, Prada, Revolve, Uniqlo, Warby Parker and Zara.

Also, you can check the full demo as published from Instagram by clicking here.

This feature will undoubtedly benefit both brands and shoppers as the users are requested to share the most necessary information without having to sign-up for a new account, as they would typically do on an e-commerce website. Instagram explains that “With their protected payment information in one place, they can shop their favorite brands without needing to log in and enter their information multiple times,” a fact that contributes to increased abandon rate.

Moreover, Instagram has set a selling fee for this service for each merchant, the amount of which has not been officially announced. Specifically, as a spokesperson from Instagram declared: “ We are testing a selling fee with businesses during the closed beta. It will not change the price of the items for consumers.”

Additionally, we can’t overlook the fact that Instagram has opened a new stream on measurable Social Media ROI. The statistics also confirm that: 46% of B2B marketers claim they are not sure whether any social media channels have generated revenue from their business and only 13% of them believe they have quantitatively proven social media has had an impact on their business. (source: webbiquity).

The fact that sales will be included as measurable conversions via Instagram will allow managers and executives in charge to demonstrate actual results of their social media actions.

It is statistically proven that Instagram influences significantly buyers consideration. With this addition, we are really looking forward to observing how will it affect the users’ behavior, as these results will definitely play an important role in the decision-making process of a well structured social media strategy.

Business Intelligence & Analytics Trends 2019

The power of data analysis, a game-changer in the evolution of the decision-making process, is transforming organizations and industries while continuously helping them to achieve new and to-the-point decisions.

Highly subjective business decisions such as employee recruitment or product branding are increasingly data-driven, and operational decisions such as logistics best practices planning or customer risk analysis are being decided using more sophisticated analysis that results in becoming more adaptive to user needs.

Business Intelligence platforms evolve to put data where people want to take action.

Data analysts need their data and actions in the same place and should be able to stay in the context of their business processes and workflows. Business intelligence platforms are meeting this need by merging with core business operations, workflows, and processes through capabilities like mobile analytics, embedded analytics, dashboard extensions (also known as add-ins), and APIs. As a result, actionable analytics are expediting the decision-making process for both technical and non-technical roles.

In 2019, Advanced Analytics capabilities with minimal manual efforts will remain the hallmark of all competitive Business Intelligence solutions.

The Business Application Research Center (BARC) 2018 Business Intelligence Survey indicates that the global BI solutions market is slated for significant technological changes.

As the years go by, the evolution of BI will constantly be increasing, and analytics will be even more, part of our everyday life.
